QuickStart Guide: Advancing From Sandbox to Production

When you're ready to start using Evident in production, a new tenant will be set up in our production environment. You will still maintain access to your sandbox tenant, although there are a few steps and checks that you will need to make to ensure you and your integrations are production-ready. 

Enablement

1. Ensure Evident Customer Success is aware of your production readiness timelines

Branding and Data Subject Experience

1. Ensure all branding is properly configured

Promoting APIs

1. VerifyAPI

   1. Update the VerifyAPI hostname to point to production
      • Prod VerifyAPI:  https://verify.api.evidentid.com/api/v1
      • (Sandbox VerifyAPI: https://verify.api.demo.evidentid.com/api/v1/)
   2. Update the VerifyAPI basic auth key to the production key
      • A new VerifyAPI basic auth key will be generated for your prod account. For help finding the new key, please refer here: https://evidentidsupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024889294-QuickStart-Guide-Integration-Verify-API-
   3. Update any templateID used in VerifyAPI requests
      • While the contents of the template will not change, the ID associating it is environment-specific. You can retrieve these templates through VerifyAPI or by contacting Customer Success.

2. SubmitAPI

   1. Update the SubmitAPI hostname to point to production
      1. Prod VerifyAPI:  https://submit.api.evidentid.com/api/v1
      2. Sandbox VerifyAPI: https://submit.api.demo.evidentid.com/api/v1/

3. Redirecting Data Subjects to IDOWeb

   • If you are redirecting data subjects to Evident IDOWeb for data upload, please ensure they are pointed to production IDOWeb

Promoting Webhooks 

1. Ensure any required webhooks configured in sandbox get added again in production.
