-
History tab in Entity Details:
- You can now review key activity for a third party in one place, with a History tab that brings together requests, submissions, documents, and notes in a single chronological feed.
- With this feature, you can:
- See a consolidated, time-ordered history of third-party activity without switching between multiple screens.
- Sort and filter the feed to focus on the event types and timeframes you care about.
- Give every user a clear timeline of activity—any role can view events in the History tab.
- Rely on an audit-level record: events are captured as point-in-time entries, showing exactly when an entity is asked for documents, when they submit, and when they're evaluated.
- Looking ahead: We plan to add additional event types to the History tab in the near future, with the goal of increasing transparency across all aspects of a third party’s journey and lifecycle in the TPRM platform.
-
Upload files to an entity:
- You can now upload a file directly to a specific entity, so you can keep entity paperwork in one place inside Evident.
-
With this feature, you can:
- Attach a single file to an entity using a consistent upload flow.
- Store and find common entity documents in the platform (for example: contracts, exception/waiver documentation, onboarding artifacts, and supporting evidence).
- See each file and when it was uploaded via the entity’s Events history.
-
Add notes to an entity:
- You can now add free-form notes directly to an entity from the three-dot actions menu on the Dashboard and Entity Details, so key context stays with the entity instead of living in separate docs or chats.
- With this feature, you can:
- Capture entity-specific operational context (for example, outreach, engagement history, or exception rationale) as a text-only note.
- Optionally apply one or more tags to a note, aligned with existing platform tag behavior
- View notes later in the entity’s Events tab, including the note text, who added it, and the date it was added.
-
Tags in the TPRM platform:
- You can now add optional tags to supported items in the platform, so you can quickly classify and find what you need later. Tags are purely for your use as context or reference — they don’t change evaluations or compliance outcomes.
- With this feature, you can:
- Add tags while you’re working on supported items (via the item’s tag picker) to help you organize and identify items later.
- See tags reflected in the item’s activity trail, including in the History tab where tags are surfaced alongside relevant entries.
- Filter/search History (and related activity views) by tags to narrow down to the events you’re looking for — without needing tags on every item.
-
Additional Insured Endorsements -- clearer requirements with flexible options:
- You can now configure Additional Insured Endorsements using multiple “sets” of acceptable endorsement categories in a single risk profile. This lets you specify the endorsement types you must receive, while still giving third parties flexibility to meet the requirement with an acceptable variation.
- With this feature, you can:
- Require multiple endorsement types in one profile. For example, if you need both completed operations and ongoing operations, you can add each as its own required set.
- Define acceptable alternatives within each required set. Within a set, you can list the categories you’ll accept for that endorsement type—so a third party can provide the specific form that fits their industry or carrier, as long as it falls within an accepted category.
- Make submissions easier to evaluate and explain. Because endorsements are grouped into clear required sets, it’s easier to see what’s missing (and what would be accepted) when reviewing evidence.
-
Platform Improvements:
- We corrected the default tab in the Entity Details page to point to the "Compliance" tab, allowing you to immediately view an entity's evaluated data risk information.
- We fixed a bug where Advanced Search filters were removed if you navigated from the Dashboard to a specific entity and returned to the Dashboard.
- We fixed a bug where you could not add a tag that had text included in an existing tag (for example, you could not add a tag called "test" if an existing tag was called "test tag").
- We fixed an issue where events that show when an entity was evaluated were missing in the History tab whenever entities went under audit. All such events are now visible.

-
Contract Extraction:
- Contract Extraction (Copilot mode) drafts insurance requirements from uploaded contracts and turns them into a proposed configuration you can review and accept.
- Why it matters: less manual review, more control over requirements, and faster setup for ongoing compliance workflows.
- How it works: upload a contract, review/edit the proposal alongside the source document, then accept to apply (or decline to discard).
- We’re expanding Contract Extraction workflows over time, including additional automation options.
-
Custom Property Management:
- You can now manage your custom properties directly in TPRM, instead of relying on Evident's support teams to handle these changes.
- With this feature, you can:
- Create and edit custom properties (including display name and description)
- Set whether a custom property is required
- Reorder custom properties via drag-and-drop so the order stays consistent anywhere custom properties appear, such as Entity Details
- Choose up to three custom properties to display on the dashboard
-
Refreshed Entity Details Page:
- The Entity Details page -- which contains key contact and compliance information for each of your entities -- has been streamlined and refreshed.
- The changes include:
- A cleaner view of standard (contact) and custom properties as distinct "cards"
- A more distinct edit button when changing property details
- Risk profiles now appear together with entity properties in an "Entity Details" tab
- The "Current Status" tab has been renamed to the "Compliance" tab
March 2026
-
Duplicate Risk Profiles:
- You can now duplicate an existing risk profile and use it as the starting point for a new one. Requirements, criteria, and assignments are copied automatically so you only need to adjust what’s different—such as limits, wording, or country-specific details. Before saving, you’ll be able to review the draft to make sure everything looks right.
- With this feature, you can:
- Quickly create new profiles without rebuilding requirements from scratch
- Maintain consistency across similar vendors, regions, or programs
- Review changes before saving the new profile
-
Edit Entity Details with More Control:
- We’ve improved how you update properties within Entity Details to make changes clearer and easier to manage.
- Instead of saving each update individually, you’ll be able to review multiple property changes together before saving. This helps prevent unnecessary re‑evaluations and makes updates more predictable when adjusting.
- With this feature, you can:
- Update multiple properties at once without triggering repeated evaluations
- Review all changes before saving
- Make entity updates faster and easier to manage
-
Assign an Individual Entity to a Risk Profile:
- Applying the right requirements shouldn’t require complex setup. You can now assign a risk profile to a single entity using a simple dropdown—without relying on custom properties, assignment rules, or layered workflows.
- What this means for you:
- Faster setup for one-off or unique vendors
- Less configuration work behind the scenes
- Greater flexibility and control when you need it
-
Faster Turnaround Times:
- Speed matters in risk management. We’ve implemented a number of process improvements to significantly reduce turnaround times so you can move from submission to decision faster than ever—especially during spikes in verification volume or periods of higher non-compliance.
-

-
Custom Agreement Review:
- Custom Agreement Review allows you to present agreement or consent language directly to third parties during the verification process and record their response as part of their submission.
- With this feature, you can:
- Capture clear acknowledgement or decisions from third parties without relying on offline workflows
- Support accept/decline or multi-option agreement responses, depending on your needs
- Use a third party’s response to determine what requirements apply next through existing evaluation rules
- This feature helps standardize how agreement decisions are captured while keeping the submission experience clear and efficient for third parties.
-
Improved Behavior for Paused Entities:
- We’ve improved how paused entities behave in the TPRM platform to give you more control and clarity when managing communication.
- You can now continue reviewing activity, resolving actions, and creating submission links while an entity is paused. Entities may complete requests using links they already received, but no emails or reminders are sent while the entity remains paused.
- When an entity is unpaused, email notifications automatically restart with a new notification cycle based on your current settings, ensuring entities have sufficient time to respond.
-
Platform Improvements:
- The TPRM platform now offers a collapsed navigation sidebar to give you more space to work.
- We've implemented an improved document viewer for easier review and navigation.
- When a temporary compliance grace period is removed, requests are now sent to entities immediately—keeping reviews moving without delay.
-
Expanded Risk Management and Criteria Support:
- We've added a risk requirement to support collection and evaluation of insurance policies related to equipment breakdown.
- We've added a risk requirement to support collection and evaluation of credentials for hanggliding and paragliding experiences.
- We've added Valuation to Builders Risk.

More Transparency, Clearer Next Steps:
- You now have clearer visibility into the documents your third parties submit, making it easier to understand why something is non-compliant and what to do next. When information is incomplete or missing, Evident reflects that clearly—so issues can be identified and resolved faster.
- See whether a document was submitted but missing key details, versus not provided at all.
- Compliance status now clearly reflects missing information based on your requirement setup.
- Clear feedback helps third parties correct issues quickly, reducing delays.
- Clearer visibility means faster answers for everyone—so clients get clarity quickly, and third parties know exactly what needs to be fixed without delays.
- This improved visibility applies to common insurance document details, including: entity name, policy number, certificate issue date, effective date, expiration date, and signature on ACORD certificates of insurance.

- The sidebar is now compact by default, giving you more room to view data, documents, and details—especially helpful when working through larger reviews.

Whether you require identity verification for onboarding processes or confirmation of insurance requirements for compliance purposes, your members can easily complete all essential tasks within one unified platform, amplifying the efficiency of your risk management efforts.
- Enhanced Member Experience: The Evident Network provides your third parties with a centralized view of their compliance status and required actions across multiple verifications. In addition, you can also get their current submission link (if one is available), allowing you to use this link in your proprietary workflows.

January 2024
-
ACORD Form Validation for Enhanced Compliance:
- You can now configure which types of ACORD forms to accept across nine of the Coverage Types in IVaaS, including Commercial General Liability, Commercial Auto Liability, and Workers Compensation.
- When you configure this new Coverage Criterion, called "Document Types," members must provide a matching, valid ACORD form in order to achieve compliance.
- This criterion ensures your compliance needs align seamlessly with your business and legal requirements and brings an additional layer of accuracy and reliability to your compliance framework.
- By incorporating ACORD form validation, you can rest assured that you are catering to the diverse needs of different industries and standards, facilitating collaboration with various partners, and future-proofing your COI tracking in a dynamic business environment.

-
Additional Options for Compliance Exceptions:
- You now have two additional options when applying Compliance Exceptions to non-compliant Insureds: exceptions that expire on a certain date and exceptions that apply to the current policy. This enhancement empowers you with greater flexibility in applying exceptions to your Insureds and reduces the burden on you and your risk management team by offering "set it and forget it" options (instead of having to remember to go back and remove permanent exceptions).
- Exceptions that expire on a certain date are just what it says on the box: pick a date and the exception remains in place until that date passes. You can apply this type of exception to a specific non-compliant Coverage Field, a non-compliant Coverage Type, or to a non-compliant Insured.
- Exceptions that apply to the current policy will remain in place until either 1) your Insured submits an updated policy or 2) the current policy expires, whichever comes first. You can apply this type of exception to a specific non-compliant Coverage Field or a non-compliant Coverage Type.
-
Enhanced Flexibility in Public and Products Liability Configuration:
- We've implemented advanced settings specifically tailored for Public and Products Liability (PPL) coverage to help you meet the diverse insurance standards and regulations you face with internationally-based Insureds.
- You can now choose whether to accept aggregate or per occurrence values for public liability and product liability limits. This flexibility allows your Insureds to seamlessly meet your requirements regardless of their specific country’s insurance regulations.
- The non-compliance messages for these limits are tailored to your specific configuration, providing clear guidance to your members based on the chosen settings.
-
Expanded Coverage Type and Coverage Criteria Support:
- We've added Cargo Liability to Canada-based Coverage Criteria Groups.
- We've added Public and Products Liability to Aruba-based Coverage Criteria Groups.
- We've added Primary and Noncontributory and Waiver of Subrogation to Public and Products Liability.
-
Bug Fixes: We’ve resolved the following issues:
- Non-compliant values for Broad Form Property Damage were not appearing in the Insured Details page for Insureds who evidenced Commercial General Liability coverage. The Insureds were correctly evaluated; it was the absent or non-compliant values that were not flagged.
- You could not edit an Evaluation Rule once it was created in a Coverage Criteria Group.
- Our new Insured submission workflow was incorrectly limiting file uploads to 10MB or less per file. It's now been updated to allow uploads up to 60MB per file.
November 2023
-
Reimagined Insured Submission Experience: Based on direct customer input and feedback, we've transformed our Insured submission workflow with an updated, mobile-friendly, and user-centric interface. Insureds now have a clearer picture of your requirements within the workflow, are notified about missing coverages before they submit, and have the ability to decline coverage if necessary. This enhanced workflow gives your Insureds greater confidence in meeting your requirements, helps them avoid submission errors, lessens their frustration, and reduces your administrative overhead in determining why your Insureds don't provide certain coverages.
-
Evaluation Rules Now Support Additional Coverage Types:
- You can now configure Evaluation Rules, which are advanced settings in our Decisioning Criteria, to allow your Insureds to provide any one of several different Coverage Types in order to meet your requirements. Previously, Evaluation Rules were limited to two Coverage Types (an "either/or" configuration).
- An Evaluation Rule can be useful for situations where you aren't always certain what type of insurance policy your Insureds will provide. By accepting multiple options that meet your requirements, you'll give your Insureds more flexibility and greater opportunities to become compliant with your needs.
-
Expanded Coverage Type and Coverage Criteria Support:
- We've added a new Coverage Type for Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation policies.
- We’ve added several new Coverage Criteria to each the following Coverage Types:
- Commercial General Liability
- Contingent Auto Liability
- Marine General Liability
- Maritime Employers Liability
- Protection and Indemnity
- We’ve enabled additional Coverage Criteria for Aruba, Curacao, Jamaica, and Saint Martin.
-
Bug Fixes: We’ve resolved the following issues:
- Email notifications for customers who did not configure any support contact information within IVaaS would still show a header for contact information.
- Insureds who did not respond to requests for collect-only Coverage Types would show a Verification Status of No Insured Response, which is not relevant for optional coverage.
October 2023
-
Improved Workflow for Insureds with a Status of Exhausted or No Insured Response: Previously, whenever an Insured had sent consecutive non-compliant submissions or had twice failed to respond to email notifications, that Insured would no longer be notified about those gaps unless you chose to manually send them a new submission link. If that Insured was then notified for other needs, such as an upcoming expiration or changes in their requirements, those coverages that were "exhausted" or had no response wouldn't be included in those later notifications, limiting an Insured's ability to become compliant. We've improved our workflow so that, any time an Insured is sent a notification for any reason, we automatically include any "exhausted" or "no response" coverage, thereby giving your Insureds every opportunity to fully comply with your insurance needs.
-
Expanded Coverage Type and Coverage Criteria Support:
- We’ve added several new Coverage Criteria, including:
- Additional Insured for Commercial Property
- Collateral for Non-trucking Liability
- Aggregate Limit for Occupational Accident

- We’ve added several new Coverage Criteria, including:
-
Bug Fixes: We’ve resolved the following issues:

- The Compliance Status of Insureds who were enrolled with a future expiration date and then paused would not correctly change to non-compliant when they passed their expiration date.
- Our bulk import tool would incorrectly show optional address-based Insured Fields as required if a customer's configuration only had one optional

We've also enhanced the branding within these templates with a crisp new design, stronger placement and orientation of customer logos, and bolder use of customer brand colors. In addition, we've provided new customers with more effective and succinct default subject lines to increase the success of Insured response right out of the gate.

-
Decision on Location-Based Coverage Criteria:
- You can now decision on the Certificate Holder Address and Lender Servicing Address information found on your Insureds’ certificates of insurance (COIs).
- You can set the requirements for these new Coverage Criteria to either a universal (global) address that any Insured assigned to a Coverage Criteria Group must provide or to an address-based Insured Field for a more precise, per-Insured evaluation.
- Certificate Holder Address is available for any Coverage Type offered in IVaaS. Lender Servicing Address is available for all property-focused Coverage Types, such as Commercial Property and Builders Risk.
-
Expanded Coverage Type and Coverage Criteria Support:
- We’ve added the following Coverage Criteria to the Public and Products Liability Coverage Type: Additional Insured, Occurrence or Claims-made, Public Liability Aggregate Limit, and Products Liability Aggregate Limit.
- We’ve added Additional Insured to the Cyber Liability Coverage Type.
- We’ve made the Fleet Coverage Type available for Coverage Criteria Groups that are configured for Costa Rica.
- We added Austria, France, and Spain to the list of countries that can use the Public and Products Liability Coverage Type.
-
Bug Fixes: We’ve resolved the following issues:
- We fixed an issue where values for Anyone Excluded in the Workers Compensation Coverage Type would show as incorrectly non-compliant. This Coverage Criteria has now been changed to allow you to configure whether “Yes” or “No” is the acceptable value.
- We removed line break characters from the non-compliant reasons returned for Insured Name when using the IVaaS API compliance needs endpoint.
June 2023
-
Enhancements to our IVaaS API:
- You can now configure and enable webhooks within IVaaS that allow you to be notified whenever an Insured’s Compliance Status or Verification Status changes, or whenever a new item in the Actions Review queue is ready for your review. You can set one, two, or all of these state changes to whichever webhooks you use within your application.
- You can also retrieve the specific compliance needs for an individual Insured instead of parsing through the entire set of needs from your Insured population.
- Our Insureds endpoint now includes the most recent submission date for that Insured in the response.
- Our API documentation for IVaaS now has clearer headings that more accurately describe the various endpoints you can call.
-
Expanded Coverage Type and Coverage Criteria Support:
- IVaaS now supports decisioning and evaluation on two new Coverage Types:
- Riggers Liability
- Warehouse Legal Liability
- In addition to these changes, we've added:
- A number of new Coverage Criteria to our Commercial Property Coverage Type that are typically found on ACORD 28 forms, such as Coinsurance, Includes Named Storm, and Fungus Exclusion.
- Nonpayment of Premium Period Days to all Coverage Types to specify when a policy must be canceled after a defined number of days without insured payment.
- Reefer Breakdown Coverage to Cargo Liability.
- Includes Jones Act and Includes Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act to Workers Compensation.
- Primary and Noncontributory to both Environmental Liability and Aviation Liability.
- Exterior Insulation Finishing Systems to Commercial Umbrella & Excess.
- Expanded country support for over 40 countries to use the Commercial General Liability and Public and Products Liability Coverage Types.
- IVaaS now supports decisioning and evaluation on two new Coverage Types:
-
Bug Fixes: We’ve resolved the following issues:
- We removed the “View COI” icons from the Insureds Table, which did not consistently reflect whether an Insured had actually submitted a COI. You can instead view an Insured’s complete submission history using the three-dot Actions menu in their entry.
- You could save the configuration settings for Waiver of Subrogation Company Name in Decisioning Criteria without specifying a scheduled company name, which could lead to Insureds becoming stuck in their evaluation when an action would normally be raised.
- We resolved an infrequent, intermittent issue where Insureds submitting their COIs would trigger an “Uh oh!” error page.
May 2023
-
Auto-add Umbrella in Coverage Criteria Group Configuration:
- To help you build the most effective insurance requirements for your Insureds, we now automatically add Umbrella coverage to a Coverage Criteria Group when you add a new Coverage Type or Coverage Criteria that can use Umbrella to meet its limits.
- This is the most commonly missed or forgotten configuration we’ve found among our customers, as they may not realize what Umbrella coverage is or how to correctly set the configurations that allow it to work within IVaaS.
- When Umbrella is automatically added, all of its Coverage Criteria are set to collect-only (optional), so your Insureds have the freedom to choose whether or not to include this coverage in their submissions.
- In addition, we’ve set the defaults for all Coverage Criteria that can use Umbrella to allow Umbrella to meet those limits, further reducing the time you spend setting up these configurations. Prior to this change, you had to go into every Coverage Criteria’s advanced settings and choose this setting.
-
Umbrella Coverage Will Not Apply if Non-compliant or Expired:
- Insureds who have submitted coverages that are compliant due to the addition of their Umbrella coverage will be re-evaluated upon expiration of the Umbrella policy. If they don't submit evidence of continued Umbrella coverage, the other coverages will become non-compliant.
- When evidence of an Umbrella policy is submitted, but it’s expired or non-compliant, that policy can’t be used to meet the requirements of other coverages.
- This change will allow you to better know when your Insureds are no longer compliant due to an expired or non-compliant Umbrella policy so that you can take the necessary action(s) to return them to compliance.
-
Latest Submission Date in Insured Data Download: The download file of all Insureds, which you can save from the Insureds Table, now includes the most recent submission date among an Insured’s Coverage Types. This shows you when an Insured most recently engaged with you.
-
Expanded Coverage Type and Coverage Criteria Support:
- We’ve added a confirmation popup whenever you change the configuration of a Coverage Criteria Group that has one or more Insureds assigned to it. This will let you know when re-engagement will occur with Insureds for the changes you’ve made. You can also contact our Support team for assistance in re-processing existing insurance documents your Insureds have already provided.
- We’ve updated the default Coverage Criteria shown whenever you add a new Coverage Type to include the most commonly used criteria, giving you a better starting point when configuring your requirements.
- We've added three new Coverage Criteria for Commercial Property:
- Domestic Terrorism Excluded
- Terrorism Coverage
- Terrorism-Specific Exclusion
- We switched the Business Income Limit Coverage Criteria in Commercial Property to use months rather than days, matching the standard found on most insurance documents.
- You can now configure Coverage Criteria Groups for China.
- We’ve made the Bailees Insurance, Commercial Crime, Cyber Liability, and Environmental Liability Coverage Types available for Canada-based Coverage Criteria Groups.
- You can now choose to collect the address of your Insured’s producer (broker or agent). If you include the new Producer Address Coverage Criteria in your requirements for any Coverage Type, we’ll extract this information from the relevant policy in your Insured’s document(s). This is a collect-only criteria, meaning that it’s only for collecting data, not for decisioning.
-
Bug Fixes: We’ve resolved the following issues:
- We fixed an issue where deprecated Coverage Criteria would cause an error in Decisioning Criteria when clicking into the Coverage Type that contained that criteria.
- Umbrella policies were incorrectly applied toward limit-based values (such as aggregate limit) that weren’t evidenced for other coverages in an Insured’s policy (they were left blank or empty in the COI).
- The layout of the Actions Review page for Non-extraction Coverage Criteria would be offset if the criteria requirements were over ~20 characters in length.
April 2023
- API Enhancements: You can now use our IVaaS API to view and resolve open actions for your insureds. You can view a navigable list of all open actions, get information for a specific action, and resolve actions for various types, including name matches, endorsements, collaterals, and non-extraction coverage criteria. We’ve also added a new endpoint to retrieve human-readable names of the endorsements used within IVaaS.
March 2023
-
Non-extraction Coverage Criteria: You can now define and review specific, nuanced insurance requirements that cannot be reliably or consistently extracted from insurance documentation due to several reasons, including (but not limited to) lack of consistent format, unclear or ambiguous language, or multiple possible locations within a document. An example of Non-extraction Coverage Criteria is exclusions, which are endorsements or policy language that remove or exclude certain types of coverage from an insurance policy. Non-extraction Coverage Criteria give you an extra review step to confirm that these legally important but difficult-to-determine insurance requirements meet the precise needs of your company, project, or industry.
-
In-product Support Links: You can now access our customer support form and library of help articles directly within the IVaaS product. You can find these resources by clicking on your profile icon at the top right of the screen.
-
Expanded Coverage Type and Coverage Criteria Support:
- You can now configure Coverage Criteria Groups for up to 20 different countries across the globe, including (but not limited to) Brazil, Mexico, Thailand, and France.
- The available Coverage Criteria for these countries include only those that are relevant to Insureds in those locations (for example, not including AM Best Rating in countries where that's not applicable).
- You'll also find some unique country-specific Coverage Criteria (such as Lawsuits from Abroad for several Coverage Types).
- You can also choose from one of hundreds of international currencies to use in your Decisioning Criteria.
- IVaaS now supports decisioning and evaluation on the following policies:
- Bailees Insurance
- Collective Personal Accident Insurance (for Mexico-based Coverage Criteria Groups)
- Commercial Trailer Interchange
-
Finally, we've added new Coverage Criteria for:
- Boiler and Machinery Coverage in Commercial Property
- Each Occurrence Per Vessel, Combined Single Limit in Protection and Indemnity
- Exterior Insulation Finishing Systems in Commercial General Liability
- Garage Keepers Limit in Commercial Auto Liability
- Innkeepers Limit in Commercial General Liability
- Loss Payee in Cargo Liability
- Loss Payee for Trailer Interchange in Commercial Auto Liability
- You can now configure Coverage Criteria Groups for up to 20 different countries across the globe, including (but not limited to) Brazil, Mexico, Thailand, and France.
-
Bug Fixes: We resolved the following issues:
- We made further improvements to our compliance needs API endpoint to increase its stability and performance.
- Certain subsets of exhausted Insureds who were last verified around mid-2022 would not be properly sent an on-demand request when requested by the customer.
- We've changed the priority order of our verification status so that "Actions Review" is visible ahead of "Exhausted" or "No Insured Response." This resolves an issue where Insureds with a verification status of "Exhausted" or "No Insured Response" could not be moved out of this state if they had open actions created by a subsequent submission or Coverage Criteria change.
- Our Actions Review page would show the "all actions have been completed" message in certain circumstances while the page was loading. The page now shows a loading icon until all actions are visible.
- Non-compliant messages were briefly absent from the Insured Details page for some Insureds who were assigned to more than one Coverage Criteria Group. These Insureds did receive the expected non-compliant messages in their email notifications.
January 2023
-
View Submission History for an Insured: You can now view the complete submission history for any Insured to see the COIs they provided for earlier requests, whether they're new verifications, responses to non-compliance, or updated policies for expiring coverage.

- Waiver of Subrogation Company Name: As with the advanced configuration for Additional Insured mentioned above, you can set requirements accept a scheduled company name, blanket company names, or both.
- Section 3a States and Section 3c States (in our Workers Compensation Coverage Type): You can set these Coverage Criteria to an Insured Field to evaluate these requirements on a per-Insured basis (vs. setting the same requirements for all Insureds assigned to a Coverage Criteria Group).
- IVaaS now supports decisioning and evaluation on the following policies:
-
Reporting Updates:
- Insured Name added to the Exception Analysis report.
- Insured Name added to the Criteria Opportunity Details report.
- Default sorting added to Criteria Opportunity Details report.
- Adjusted the display name of the coverage type in the Insured Opportunity Details to make it more readable.
- Insured Name added to the Insured Opportunity Details report.
- The initial connect date has been added to the Insured Export report (date the insured was added to the platform).
-
Bug Fixes: We resolved the following issues:
- Our compliance needs API endpoint would time out for large numbers (1500+) of Insureds.
- Verification status was not appearing for some Insureds who were enrolled with future expiration dates (and for whom a request for insurance had gone out).
- Our bulk import feature would reject uploads when the order of the columns in the file did not precisely match the order of the columns in the template.
- Collateral items in Actions Review were not clearly indicated in our "View Mapping" feature.
- Collateral items with long names were not displaying correctly in our "View Mapping" feature.
December 2022
-
View or Change Collateral Mappings: The View Mapping feature allows you to see exactly how an Insured's collaterals are mapped and gives you the ability to change these associations as needed.
-
Advanced Filtering for Collateral: You can now search for Insureds based on their collateral's description, unique identifier, category, limit required, or maximum deductible.
-
Expanded Coverage Type and Coverage Criteria Support:
- IVaaS now supports decisioning and evaluation on Environmental Liability (Pollution) policies.
- We've added new Coverage Criteria to our Workers Compensation Coverage Types for black lung coverage, waiver of subrogation scheduled states, and WV broad form employers liability endorsement.
- You can now configure the Coverage Criteria for Automobiles Covered to require any or all of the selected options (such as scheduled, non-hired, etc.).
-
Bug Fixes: We resolved the following issues:
- Non-compliant messages for collateral were incorrectly showing the required limit as invalid when only the valuation (actual cash value or replacement cost value) was invalid.
- Collateral were appearing with non-compliant icons in the "Collaterals" tab while an Insured was asked for their insurance verification (prior to evaluation).
- Insureds could not be added or updated using individual or bulk import if they had multiple collaterals with the same values (description, limit required, etc.).
- Insureds who did not respond to requests for insurance verification were displaying a verification status of "Exhausted" instead of "No Insured Response."
- The option of "Project" was missing from the configuration of the General Aggregate Limit Applies Per Coverage Criteria in our Decisioning Engine.
October 2022
-
SSO (Single-Sign On): We've added capabilities that allow your admins to authenticate with your enterprise identify provider. This allows your organization to establish accounts without maintaining a separate Evident account. Your admins will have a consistent log in experience for all of you enterprise applications, including Evident that use your Identity Provider. If your organization uses any of the below Identity Providers you may establish SSO with Evident by submitting a support ticket to get started on the process.
- SAML
- OpenID Connect
- Google Workspace
- Microsoft Azure AD
- ADFS
- Active Directory/LDAP
- Ping Federate
-
Non-compliance and Exceptions for Collaterals: We've enhanced the non-compliant messaging for collaterals on the Insured Details page to include more nuanced reasons such as insufficient limits, deductibles, and valuations (actual cash value or replacement cost value). Your Insureds will now receive clearly-formatted emails whenever their collaterals are non-compliant, with the specific reasons for non-compliance. You can also apply Compliance Exceptions to any non-compliant collaterals.
-
Decisioning for Additional Interests: We've added a new criterion in many of our Coverage Types called "Additional Interest." This allows you the flexibility to decision on different types of additional interests, including lender's loss payable, loss payee, and mortgagee, no matter which one you receive from your Insureds. You can configure which interests you'll accept (one, two, or any) and the name you require. Additional interest names that don't precisely match your requirements will go to your Actions Review queue, just like other name-based Coverage Fields in IVaaS.
-
Expanded Coverage Type and Coverage Criteria Support: IVaaS now supports decisioning and evaluation on Commercial Auto Physical Damage and Personal Liability policies.
-
Bug Fixes: We resolved the following issues:
- The Insured Details page did not show non-compliant reasons for certain Coverage Fields if they were not found in the Insured's COI (the Insured was correctly shown as non-compliant, but it was not obvious as to why).
- Some Insureds were showing that there were actions to be resolved but none were visible when viewing the Actions Review queue.
- IVaaS API users who submitted COI documents for some of our newer Coverage Types were not correctly notified when these documents were not successfully captured for an Insured.
September 2022
-
Support for Collateral: We've introduced brand-new features and functionality that support insurance verification and evaluation of collaterals (property or assets that are part of a loan). You can find articles that discuss adding collaterals to your Insureds, setting up and configuring Collateral Coverage Criteria Groups, reviewing Actions Review items for collateral mapping, and viewing the evaluation results of collaterals.

Improved Workflow for Insureds Who Are No Longer Non-compliant: We’ve improved our Insured workflow to automatically shut off reminders to Insureds who are no longer non-compliant (as a result of Compliance Exceptions you’ve applied or changes you’ve made in their Coverage Criteria Group requirements or assignments) and have no other outstanding needs. The Insureds will also be informed that no further action is needed if they attempt to respond to non-compliant emails they’ve already received.
-
Expanded Coverage Type and Coverage Criteria Support: IVaaS now supports decisioning and evaluation on Non-trucking Liability and Occupational Accident. We’ve also added new criteria to Commercial Auto Liability that cover collision and comprehensive limits and deductibles for trailers.

Bug Fixes: We resolved the following issues:
- Insureds with items in Actions Review would become unexpectedly non-compliant if the Coverage Criteria for those items changed in their assigned Coverage Criteria Group(s) while the items were still pending review.
- Expiration dates shown on the Insureds Table included Coverage Types that were no longer part of the Insured’s assigned Coverage Criteria Group(s) or included optional “collect-only” Coverage Types that didn’t affect an Insured’s overall compliance.
- Insureds whose email addresses contained newer “top-level” domains (such as .cpa or .llc) were rejected when enrolling them using our API.
- We’ve also improved the performance of the Actions Review queue, particularly when viewing specific items for an Insured.
July 2022
-
Insureds Export: Download an export file containing information for every Insured in your population, including compliance status, verification status, and Effective Group.
-
Insureds in Actions Review: See which specific Insureds have one or more items in Actions Review so you can quickly decide on the name or endorsement variations in their policy.
-
Unified Insured Engagements: Any of your Insureds that have a mixture of new, expiring, and/or non-compliant needs will now have all of their outstanding requirements combined in the email notifications sent from IVaaS. These unified engagements will use the customized templates and branding you’ve set in our Email Configuration feature and provide your Insureds with the sum of all their needs within a single email.
-
API Enhancements: We’ve added a new endpoint to retrieve human-readable names and titles of Coverage Types, Compliance Status, Verification Status, and Country Codes used within IVaaS. We’ve also improved the documentation for our compliance needs and COI upload endpoints.
- Coverage Criteria Updates: Our Contingent Auto Liability Coverage Type now includes Vehicle Identification Numbers.
June 2022
- Fulfillment Section for Insured Emails: You can now offer your Insureds the opportunity to connect with your preferred insurance fulfillment partner by including a fully configurable fulfillment section in IVaaS emails. Once enabled, this section will appear in new, expiring, and non-compliant notifications.
-
Coverage Criteria Updates:
- We’ve introduced two new Coverage Criteria to our Commercial Auto Liability Coverage Type: Physical Damage Coverage Valuation Method and Vehicle Identification Numbers.
- Cargo Liability and Contingent Auto Liability are new Coverage Types that are immediately available for use in Decisioning Criteria.
- Our Workers' Compensation Coverage Type now includes Primary and Noncontributory.
-
Bug Fixes: We resolved the following issues:
- The "View COI" link did not show a COI document for certain Coverage Types, instead showing a message that a document was not available for that type.
- Insureds were not notified if you updated an existing Coverage Criteria Group to include a new Coverage Type that the Insured was not previously required to provide.
April 2022
-
API Support for Uploading COIs: You can now submit certificates of insurance (COIs) using our IVaaS API endpoints, retrieve compliance status for each Insured down to the Coverage Type level (including specific reasons for non-compliance), and identify which of your Insureds’ Coverage Types are due to expire. We’ve also updated our API documentation so your developers will be fully equipped to work with our endpoint for use in your portal or interface.
-
API Retrieval of Coverage Criteria Group Compliance Status: Our API endpoints now support the retrieval of compliance status for each Coverage Criteria Group assigned to an Insured, in addition to the Insured’s overall compliance status. This is beneficial for customers who use additive Coverage Criteria Groups in their Decisioning Criteria.
-
Coverage Criteria Updates: We’ve introduced some new changes to our Coverage Criteria, including the addition of contract numbers for Commercial General Liability and several other Coverage Types, the ability to use Umbrella to meet the limits of Liquor Liability criteria, and a Canadian version of Garage Keepers.
-
Bug Fixes: We resolved the following issues:
- Automobiles Covered was not shown on the Insured Details page when this Coverage Criteria was used in decisioning and Insureds did not indicate this field in their Auto policies.
- Limits and deductibles for Business Personal Property Coverage were not shown on the Insured Details page when this Coverage Criteria was used in decisioning and Insureds did not provide these values in their Commercial Property policies.
- Some policy endorsements (such as Waiver of Subrogation) were shown twice on the Insured Details page.
- The notice we show for deprecated criteria appeared incorrectly for certain Coverage Criteria Group configurations.
March 2022
- Evaluation Rules for Advanced Decisioning: A new feature recently added to our IVaaS solution is the ability to set up Evaluation Rules in your Coverage Criteria Groups. An Evaluation Rule is essentially an "either/or" condition where your Insureds can provide valid insurance for either one Coverage Type or another in order to meet your requirements.
February 2022
-
Advanced Configuration for General Aggregate Limit Using Condition Sets: You now have the ability to define distinct Condition Sets for General Aggregate Limit based on how this limit applies to your Insureds' Commercial General Liability policies. This advanced configuration allows you to establish different, nuanced thresholds of coverage based on your Insureds' specific situations.
- Deprecated Criteria: We resolved an issue with the "Defense Costs Coverage" Coverage Criteria in the Commercial Umbrella & Excess Coverage Type. This criteria was not showing the correct evaluation status on the Insured Details page. If you included this Coverage Criteria in your Coverage Criteria Groups, you'll see a status message in Decisioning Criteria. You can remove the deprecated version of the criterium and then add the fixed version (which has the same name) back using the Add Additional Criteria link.
January 2022
-
Greater Visibility of Coverage Criteria Groups: You can now see the Coverage Criteria Groups you’ve assigned to your Insureds right from the Insured Details page. We’ve also enabled filtering by Coverage Criteria Groups from the Insureds Table advanced search.
-
Effective Groups: Customers who use one or more Coverage Criteria Groups to fine-tune their insurance requirements can more clearly see the effects these groups have on their Insureds’ compliance through the concept of Effective Groups. As with Coverage Criteria Groups, you can also view and filter by Effective Groups from the Insureds Table.
-
New Decisioning Features: You can now choose to decision on an Insured Field rather than a fixed value or limit. You can also configure additional insured mapping, where you define a set of acceptable variations for the additional insured names your Insureds can provide.
-
Revised Email Templates and Test Notifications: We’ve reworked our templates for new, expiring, and non-compliant email notifications for improved insured engagement, including clearer call-to-action instructions and a more modern look-and-feel. You can also send test emails to see how your branding and other configuration changes will appear when sent to your Insureds.
-
Enhanced Non-compliant Messaging: Instructions for your non-compliant Insureds are more readable, actionable, and concise. You can also see a preview of these messages as you configure your Coverage Criteria Groups in Decisioning Criteria.
- Expanded Coverage Type and Coverage Criteria Support: IVaaS now supports decisioning and evaluation on seven new Coverage Types: Commercial Crime, Commercial Property, Employee Dishonesty, Employment Practices Liability, Fidelity Bond, Garage Liability, and Garage Keepers Liability.
