Motor Vehicle Records (MVR)
At the time of onboarding, you'll create a custom adjudication matrix with Evident that defines the type and number of violations that would disqualify someone from your platform.
Our priority at Evident is to give you full control. Choose one of our default policies, or let us help you develop a highly customized policy that's specifically tailored to your user community.
Our tool allows you to select up to 390 motor vehicle violations that best represent your trust & safety policy. Once you've created/updated your policy, you can initiate DMV checks on any of your users and their motor vehicle records will be pulled for comparison against your policy.
The user inputs their first and last name, date of birth, driver’s license number, and driver’s license state. If checking the ID's validity, we can import these details directly from the ID, saving the user from having to input them manually. We'll then provide the user with your custom FCRA disclosures and capture their consent to an MVR check.
Evident confirms the current status of the driver's license with the DMV, dates and descriptions of any violations, as well as suspensions or revocations incurred.
If the motor vehicle record meets your policy requirements, you'll receive a "Clear" result.
If the motor vehicle record contains a violation that is flagged by your policy, you'll receive a "Policy Violations Found" result, as well as dates and descriptions of the violation(s).
You may also automate or manually send pre-adverse and adverse action notifications from Evident's platform in compliance with FCRA regulations.
